What makes us different
We under study our children by creatively engaging them in facts finding discussions in a systemic way which establishes good sense of parent-child relationship from which confidence and trust are developed in both parties. This is so fascinating as students open up to us in sensitive matters for the purpose of help them.
At EPIC, we are not just teachers but we do parenting both in the hostels and the classrooms. We get to know the emotional, psychological and social lives of the children entrusted to our care and these help us to guide them aright. Our teaching /learning interaction is unequalled. Our learning activities do not end in the classrooms only; they also involve academic excursions both nationally and internationally. Thus our students have the wherewithal to prove their worth any where they are opportuned.
Our tutoring method is derivative of One-On-One approach to carry every child along in and out of the classroom interactions. Our teachers engage students with cases of slow learning and provide supports to individual child until they are able to get it right. Weak students are easily observed and remedial interactions bring their difficulty to end.
School History
Dear Prospective Parent/Carer and Student
Epic International Schools which came into existence on the 1st of September, 1986 has grown over the years to become an international group of schools with presence in Nigeria and Republic of Togo.
The school comprises of Nursery, Primary and Secondary schools with excellent boarding facilities making use of the Nigerian Educational Curriculum as well as that of the university of Cambridge.
Pupils and Students of the school are prepared for all levels of Cambridge Examinations (i.e. Cambridge Check Point, IGCSE, Advanced Subsidiary and Advanced Levels) They are also prepared for the examinations of the West African Examinations Council(WAEC) as well as National Examinations Council of Nigeria(NECO), which are all springboards to any tertiary institution of higher learning all over the world.
We assist our students in choosing relevant subjects that suit learners interests through a functional guidance and counseling with the aid of the achievement test. Our students are guided during university admissions process through our experienced and resourceful academic personnel who expose them to available scholarship opportunities internationally.
Over the years, the school has gained reputation internationally as institution where excellence in academics is the watchword and where parents can leave their children in our boarding house and be confident that adequate care will be provided for them. A good percentage of the parents of our boarding students are in the diaspora as they desire their children to be educated in the African setting.
Currently in our school in Nigeria and Togo, we have children from ten sdifferent nations and this gives the schoool international flavour as students have opportunity to meet with others from different cultural backgrounds. To enrich their studies, Epicans are exposed to local and international excursions periodically.
